- Abstract
This article discusses a study which investigated the correlation of preeclampsia and eclampsia (Pre/E) with sun exposure. The researchers examined the outcomes of over 39,000 births in West Michigan in relation to the total available minutes of sunshine in the preceding trimester prior to the births. Results of the study revealed that pregnant women in cloudier climates may be more likely to develop Pre/E in the fall and winter seasons.
