- Abstract
The article discusses the scope, competences, proficiencies and learning results in Postgraduate Periodontal Education. Under the European Directives, a postgraduate program in periodontology should include a 3-year full-time course or part-time for 4 years in order to allow the student to practise Periodontics and Oral Implant Therapy at a specialist level. A list of competences and proficiences in postgraduate periodontal education is presented.
