- Abstract
What LSF's peculiar blend of human rights activism and neoliberal ideology shows is that the genealogies of both of these discourses must be understood if we are to make sense of either. Focusing on one such NGO, Liberté sans Frontières (LSF), she demonstrates that human rights activism and neoliberal ideology could easily go hand in hand. In making this claim, Whyte first establishes what the foundations of neoliberal philosophy are and, in doing so, she offers an important corrective on a particularly stubborn scholarly commonplace that sees in neoliberalism nothing more than an economic theory.
