- Abstract
An interview with African American cartoonist Keith Knight is presented. When asked about his motivation to become a newspaper cartoon artist, he refers that he was always drawing and as he was doing this in school. He mentions that the comic strips "Peanuts," by Charles Schulz and "Doonesbury," by Gary Trudeau were his influences. He adds that cartooning is a one of the ways to approach any issue because an individual can approach it with humour such as racism.
