- Abstract
The article presents information on the decision taken by Germany-basedagrochemical company BASF to discontinue the production of genetically modified (GM) crops adapted to European conditions. It reports that BASF will focus on the American and Asian markets. It also highlights the likely repercussions the BASF's decision to leave the European market will possess for European agriculture particularly in context to potato production.
