- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of non-lethal weapons and the prevention of war casualties in the 21st century warfare. It mentions that the 21st century marks the development of weapons with non-lethal capabilities but seek to apply force and challenge the enemy's will without the necessity to spill blood. It adds that casualty aversion in war in the 21st century can be explained as the driving force in the shift in defense technology with regards to non-lethal weapons.
