- Abstract
The article discusses therapeutic letter writing techniques that allow adolescents in residential care to be confronted with their behaviors, accept responsibility, and embrace the need to change. Topics covered include outlines that allow parents to account for their behaviors, and to change their approach to working with their child, and the possible outcomes from such assignments. Also noted are therapists' use of varied papers and writing implements to elicit creativity and rich content.
