- Abstract
The article focuses on the central distinction between libertarian approach and egalitarian approach in context to electoral speech, as a matter of choice between liberty and equality. It emphasizes two dominant approaches in literature to conciliate liberty and equality by preserving each value as an aspect of the other. It discusses the approach of sterling professor Owen M. Fiss who promulgates that electoral speech restriction are justified on the grounds to promote freedom of speech.
