- Title
The Study Design Used Was Wrong But the Conclusions Made About the Drug Were Later Found to Be Correct.

- Abstract
The author reflects on retrospective criticisms on the study design and conclusions by M. Callaham and N. Raskin regarding the efficacy of parentheral administration of dihydroergotamine (DHE) in the acute treatment of migraine attacks. Later randomized, controlled trial (RCT) studies confirmed the effectivity of buccal or intravenously administered prochlorperazine alone or in combination with DHE. The author recommends further studies on the effectivity of intravenous DHE versus placebo.
