- Abstract
In this article, the authors argue that the orientation of ancient megalithic monuments found on Jordan's Transjordan Plateau is astronomically significant. Focus is given to the positioning of a series of dolmens associated with necropolises, as well as the history of the dolmens' excavation and the threats posed to these monuments in modern times by the expansion of Jordanian quarries.
