The article comments on the importance of re-infused lymphocyte dose in the upfront autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) for multiple myeloma. As stated, faster lymphocyte recovery post-ASCT may directly influence clinical outcome due to faster immunological recovery and anti-tumour response.
