- Title
PRO: Villous Elements and High-Grade Dysplasia Help Guide Post-Polypectomy Colonoscopic Surveillance.
- Authors
Rex, Douglas K.; Goldblum, John R.
- Abstract
The article presents the authors' views on post-polypectomy colonoscopic surveillance. They remark that the pathological evaluation of colorectal adenomatous polyps is an imperfect exercise and that colonoscopy is not perfect in pathologic interpretation of villous elements or high-grade dysplasia in colorectal adenomas. They suggest that colonoscopists must take care of their patients and pathologists must help colonoscopists do their best.
