- Abstract
The article presents a study on improved char combustion model in blast furnace pulverized coal injection. The study dealt with the role of finite-rate heterogeneous reduction and oxidation. Moreover, particle temperatures were measured by an established Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) system. It concludes that the model gives better and faster particle temperature predictions and can be integrated easily into comprehensive computing codes for industrial pulverized coal flame.
