- Abstract
The article focuses on the Personal Property Security Act (PPSA) of Manitoba and discusses the issue of taking advantage of other's mistakes in a secured transaction in relation to jurisprudence under the act. It discusses the importance of the issue from the point of view of practitioners and their clients. It also discusses conflicts related to the principles of PPSA and how courts resolve them and concludes that as a rule a creditor is allowed to take advantage of the mistake of another.
