- Authors
Duprey, Jennifer
- Abstract
The article discusses how war, in particular, the Spanish Civil War, is represented in literature and focuses on Mercè Rodoreda's novel "Cuánta, Cuánta guerra." The objective of this paper is to analyze the role of the biblical Cain as a representation of war and violence in Rodoreda's novel. It also attempts to analyze historical plurality by contrasting it with the narration that characterizes the fascist idea of national mythology.
