- Abstract
The article examines the clinical features of DFNA9 which is a progressive audiovestibular dysfunction with a microfibrillar deposit in the inner ear among Japanese families with mutations of the COCH gene. It mentions the application of targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) in the mutation screening of deafness genes. It notes that the progression of hearing loss, and vestibular was examined through pure-tone audiometry, caloric testing, and computed dynamic posturography.
