- Abstract
The article focuses on the financial performance of contractors and consultants in the chemical industry for 2009 in light of the financial crisis. Jacobs Engineering reported a 4.6% decline in its earnings to 399.9 million U.S. dollars. KBR reported a 6.7% decline in its 2009 consolidated third quarter revenue, but claimed that its services and technology units increased by 30% and 75% respectively. Scott Process Technology stated that the company has not been affected by the recession.
