- Abstract
The article considers a number of trends within health care marketing and services in the early 21st century and relates their influence in positive or negative terms. The tendency to over-generalize or misattribute fads as industry-wide progressive trends is emphasized and suggestions are given regarding the singular management of business conditions for each local service provider. Topics exemplified include retail pharmacy mini-clinics, medical database program usage, hospital data publication, and screening technologies and methodologies.
