- Abstract
The article focuses on the study which examines the infection sites of spores of the beauveria bassiana (hyphomycetes) on the exoskeleton of citrus root weevil or diaprepes abbreviatus. The study notes that the spore germination occurred around the eyes followed by the ventral abdomen and the dorsal pronotum after being dippped into a collodion solution. It mentions that spores of the Beauveria bassiana were washed from the surface of inoculated weevils with distilled water.
