- Abstract
The article focuses on a research which looks into the phytoremediation techniques of contaminated soil and underground water. It also looks into complex interactions between contaminants, soil, plant roots and micro-organisms in rhizosphere. It concludes that though phytoremediation has high potential to enhance the degradation and removal of organic contaminants from soils, sediments, and waters, enthusiastic interpretations have been made concerning its possibilities.
