- Abstract
The article reports on organizational chaos and relative powerlessness. Particular attention is paid to how this kind of work environment can affect employees, specifically in terms of creating bullies. A study conducted by researches at Ohio State University that analyzed the situations in which bullying is prone to occur is presented. The author discusses the attributes of a bully boss, the emotional and psychological abuse received by employees, as well as the results of the study. Industrial and service settings were the most common place for incidents of bullying behavior by bosses.
