The article discusses the transition of ballet dancing to modern dance in Europe. The author states that the decline of the ballet was due to the quality of dancing than to the fact than it was no longer considered as a serious art-form. Moreover, he stresses that the first reform that was necessary was a more serious study of the learning itself.
