„Grand“iose Route: Ein Verfahren zur Überführung von 6 ‐ Acylcyclohexenonen in 2,6 ‐ disubstituierte 2,3,4,5 ‐ Tetrahydropyridine und, nach diastereoselektiver Reduktion, 2,6 ‐ syn ‐ disubstituierte Piperidine wurde entwickelt. Die Synthese von cis ‐ 2 ‐ Methoxycarbonylmethyl ‐ 6 ‐ pentylpiperidin und die erste Totalsynthese des Alkaloid (−) ‐ Grandisin G aus Elaeocarpus belegen die Anwendungsbreite dieser Methode.
