- Abstract
This article discusses the use of ultraviolet-induced fluorescence dermatoscopy (UVFD) in the diagnosis of segmental porokeratosis, a rare skin disorder characterized by abnormal keratinization. The authors present a case study of a 22-year-old female patient with segmental porokeratosis on her left leg. The application of UVFD revealed a clearly defined peripheral keratotic rim, which aided in the diagnosis of porokeratosis. The article highlights the potential benefits of incorporating UVFD in the dermoscopic diagnosis of porokeratosis.
