- Abstract
The article reports on a sex education program for teenagers in two secondary schools in Great Britain. This program provided skill training along with sexuality education, knowledge of contraceptives and sexually transmitted diseases to students aged 13-15, who were later evaluated through questionnaire when they turned 15-16. Five local schools were employed as matched controls and a set of matched schools from distant localities were also chosen, where same kind of sex education was given to the students. At the end of the program, a decline in the number of students initiating sexual activity was observed, and their attitudes towards sexual intercourse also changed.
