- Abstract
The article analyzes the film "From Romance to Ritual" by Peggy Ahwesh. It discusses how the film embodies the concept of 'ruined aesthetic' while literally being shot amid ruins at Avebury in southwest England. Topics include Film Studies professor Elena Gorfinkel's essay "The Color of Love", themes of abandonment and incompletion, film maker Maya Deren's incomplete film on Haiti and the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.
