Abstract
The article focuses on the use of high-frequency transmitters by Todd Pedersen of the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts to produce a dense glowing artificial ionospheric layer in Alaska. It states that artificial auroras can be made utilizing an array of high-frequency transmitters. It states that the layer produced by the auroras could be useful for new kind of radar and long-range communications.
