- Abstract
The article reports on the reactions of scientists to the move of the U.S. Congress to impose strict regulation on laboratories which handle the most dangerous pathogens. According to scientists, the said strict rules can possibly hobble efforts on countermeasures for killer pathogens. The article also notes on the plan of the Congress to make the Department of Homeland Security as the in-charge of the said laboratories.
