- Abstract
This paper presents the results of the study of the effects that aqueous solutions of quaternary ammonium salts have on the structure of the polypropylene fiber when heated. It has been shown that lowered melting and crystallization temperature of polypropylene after treatment is caused by a change in the amorphous structure of the polymer. Transformation of the α-phase of the crystal structure of isotactic polypropylene into the β- and γ-phases was not detected.
