The article presents the author's perspective on picturebook biographies and offers advice to young readers on reading or writing biography. She describes how students see biography as a single story with no personal interest and perspective. Also discussed are the need to acknowledge and question the perspective of the biographer, types of clues that reveals an author's input and suggestions for critically reading and responding to biographies.
