- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the precipitation water storage capacity of a temperate mixed oak-beech canopy. It shows the comparison of three independent approaches such as spraying laboratory experiment, a mechanistic model, and linear regression analyses in order to estimate, describe, and evaluate the forest canopy. It states that the storage capacity for mixed oak-beech zones ranges from 0·24 millimeter to 1·12 millimeter. It also notes that the storage capacity of mixed canopy is high for high density zones with increasing local basal area.
