- Abstract
The subject of this work is the analysis of Suhrawardî's "Fi-Haqiqati'l-Ashk" or "Munisu'l Ushshak", the symbolic gnostic treaty. This Persian-language treatise is Sühreverdî's longest gnostic treatise and is regarded as a treasure of symbolism. The treatise begins with reason, the first thing created by God, and the three qualities of reason which beauty, love and sadness. In the following episodes, the mind is turned into "Adem" or person and are explained with symbolic accounts how these three intellectual properties have entered the human body. Now, the depth and indispensability of this three-dimensional structure on the human side is handled, turned beauty into Joseph, love into Zulayha and sadness into Jacob. It is aimed to understand the deep analyzes that Suhrawardi did about human and human characteristics, solving and explaining the passwords of the symbolic expressions that passed through the treaty. With this work, it is envisaged to contribute to the better recognition of the person himself / herself, revealing Suhravardi's point of view about the person with mind and beauty, love and sadness which are three important dimensions of person.
