- Abstract
This paper explores some differences and potential analogies between Kant and Wittgenstein's philosophic conception of formal logic. First, I show Kant's philosophic conception of logic. After, I'll do the proper considering the "Tractatus" of Wittgenstein. In a third moment, I'll try to realize a contrast between the two conceptions, pointing out the connections between understanding, logic and language. I expect that this analysis may help us to value the philosophic dimension of formal logic in both kantian and wittgenstenian philosophies and, indirectly, in philosophy in general.
