- Abstract
The typology of college stations is really heterogeneous. The ones created in schools of Information and Communication Sciences - that are mostly ruled by Journalism students -, aim to give the future journalists a training ground. They work as a first professional contact with this media. Thus, the objective of this paper is checking through a case study if the formative aspect is present in Radio Unizar. We will identify the current situation and propose changes, if needed. The methodology is based on two surveys carried out among students involved and eight in-depth interviews made to representative people of the college radio issue. This way we get to know both sides: the one teaching and the one learning. The results back the idea of the usefulness of college stations when training dimension is concerned. Nevertheless, the students would prefer a mixed radio model ruled by professionals and students than a radio led by themselves with the support of the teachers.
