The article reports that during the Age of Enlightenment, the Franco-German cultural transfer marked not only the great eminent places such as the court of Potsdam, where Frederick the Great received so many French writers and philosophers, but also many courts, medium and small, including the cultural life was increasingly inspired by French intellectuals and the model of Versailles as a whole.
