- Abstract
A transnational telecardiology system allowed 34 patients at home to transfer 329 electrocardiograms from Lithuania via Germany back to a monitoring and management station in Lithuania. The system proved robust and readily used. Lessons were learned with regard to inclusion criteria and implementation based upon illness scores. This networking and clinical service program made good use of patient initiative and training coupled with hardware and software to realize an effective program of on-duty cardiology personnel.
