- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that characterizes the differences in the metabolism of xenobiotics among bird species by comparing the metabolism of anticoagulant rodenticide, warfarin and the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) pyrene. It states that metabolizing ability of xenobiotics help in determining the sensitivity against chemical substances. The study reveals differences in the metabolism of different species of birds.
