An essay is presented on the use of Instructional Design (ID) as a tool for music educators. It outlines the development of ID as well as its consideration either as a practice or a concept. It discusses the benefits of ID incorporation for music educators including instruction automization and aesthetic experience and music non-linearity. The implementation of ID into classroom planning is also mentioned.
