- Abstract
The article offers information on how to depose a foreign witness or obtain written evidence under the Hague Evidence Convention in the U.S. It states that the convention provides the general framework for obtaining evidence from abroad, however the foreign requested State has the discretion to execute a Letter of Request. It states that a written evidence or depose witnesses can be obtained by litigants through a Letter of Request, American or foreign diplomatic and private commissioner.
