- Abstract
In the work "The Conference of the Birds" (Mantiėu't-Tayr) of an important Persian poet Fariduddin Attar, one of his stories is Sheikh Abdurrezzak, also known as Sheikh San'an. This story was first translated to Turkish by one of the 14. century poets Gülsehri. But some expressions used by Gülsehri shows that the work was translated to Turkish before him by someone else. We don't know much about this mentioned first translation's situation but in our work we handled a story with the same title which lacks of language-punctuation features and belongs to a poet named Ahmedi. The story has been kept in Hacı Mahmud Efendi section of Istanbul Süleymaniye Library with the invontery number 4311. In our work the story's subject, oldness, poet, language-punctuation characteristics are analyzed, transcription and facsimile are presented.
