Title
LEGAL UPDATE.
Abstract
The article presents an update on several legal cases on employee benefits. In the case Hebert v. SBC Pension Benefit Plan, five factors are used to determine whether a plan's interpretation of its terms is reasonable. In Hoult v. Hoult, it is concluded that it does not prevent a court from ordering a retiree to deposit the amounts he receives from his pension plan into an account to satisfy an outstanding judgment from which he can deduct only a certain amount for living expenses.
