The article discusses the U.S. Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry's (ATSDR) Shower and Household Water-Use Exposure Model for evaluating residential exposure to chemicals volatizing from indoor water use. Topics covered include the three-compartment model's description, verification, and uncertainty. Also noted is the conclusion that the model improves significantly over previous one-compartment models.
