- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a pluriparous jersey cow cattle which developed a functional obstruction or paralytic ileus of intestine due to severe amphistomiosis. The cow was presented with a history of absence of defecation after suffering with diarrhea. Large number of ova of amphistomes were found in standard parasitological examination of the faecal sample, and the cow was prescribed a single dose of oral oxyclozanide and metaclopramide.
