Deductibility of State and Local Taxes.
- Abstract
The article presents resolutions concerning deductibility of state and local taxes passed by the American Public Health Association in the U.S. In recognition to the provisions of the U.S. Federal Income Tax Code, the association urged legislators and the federal government to consider that state and local governments are an integral part of the total government structure in the nation and that they reinstate the provision that allows taxpayers to deduct their state and local taxes from their federal taxable income.
