- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents information on the anti-competitive activities of Microsoft Corp. It is stated that Microsoft had a monopoly in personal computer (PC) operating systems, and Netscape Communications Corp. and Sun Microsystems Inc. had developed competitive products for the operating system market. It is mentioned that Microsoft has monopoly power in the market for operating systems for PCs, including those produced by Apple Inc. The government claimed that in response to the threats to its Windows operating system monopoly, Microsoft first attempted to persuade Netscape not to produce a browser for Windows. Microsoft's primary anti-competitive strategy was to prevent the widespread distribution of Netscape's Navigator and Sun's Java technologies to end users.
