- Title
The First One Hundred Years of Christianity: An Introduction to its History, Literature, and Development.
- Abstract
Second, Schnelle treats the canonical Gospels and Acts as identity-forming "master narratives" centred on the life-liberating story of Jesus as Messiah and Son of God. The mission initiatives of Paul subsequent to the apostolic conference dominate Schnelle's discussion of the second period of early Christianity (50-70 CE). Udo Schnelle, Professor of New Testament at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, is one of Germany's premier New Testament (NT) scholars whose books are regularly translated into English.
