- Abstract
The article reports on the health risks associated with common vector-borne diseases (VBDs) in Canada as of 2016. It discusses the emergence of vector-borne diseases such as the West Nile virus and Lyme disease and includes the factors involving the epidemiology of these viruses, namely mosquitoes and ticks. The precautionary measures for the prevention and surveillance of these viruses are also presented.
