- Abstract
The article discusses contributions made by Native American Indian leaders such as High Chief of the Cheyenne tribe and Lololomai of the Hopi tribe to the 1907 book "The Indians' Book" by Natalie Curtis. It explores how Curtis allowed these men to air grievances against the U.S. government regarding the treatment of Natives as well as share information related to the meaning behind such cultural practices as music, folklore, and narratives in the book.
