- Abstract
The article discusses what the authors refer to as the case against U.S. federal preemption of state bans on genetically engineered (GE) crops as of 2015, and it mentions the American government's regulatory scheme under the U.S. Plant Protection Act (PPA). The U.S. Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) is examined, along with restriction on pesticides and genetically modified organism (GMO) crops. Hawaiian county ordinances and the field-testing of GE crops are assessed.
