- Abstract
The article discusses the efforts to fight police misconduct in the U.S. in the era of social movements like Black Lives Matter (BLM). Also cited are the U.S. Supreme Court case "Kibbe v. City of Springfield" that tackles the proper standard of liability for municipal governments accused of civil rights violations, the alleged state-sponsored violence against people of color, and the opposing lawyers in the case, namely, attorneys Terry Nagel and Edward Pikula.
